Osmosis – a basic principle of nature
We have harnessed the principle of osmosis to formulate Osmotonic, an osmotic toothpaste that helps maintain oral balance and therefore oral health. Finely formed salt crystals create a high concentration of dissolved substance. This causes water under the cell membrane in inflamed gums to leave the cells to equalize the concentrations on both sides of the gum cell membrane. This allows the cell network to regenerate more quickly.

*SLS-free: Foaming is an important part of a toothpaste’s activity. It helps to loosen stains and bacteria so that they can be removed from the teeth more easily. High-foaming formulations, on the other hand, can irritate the gums. That’s why we only use mild foaming agents for our toothpastes at edel+white.
